I founded Seadragon Organic with a vision to offer a range of skincare products that contain levels of marine bio-actives proven to make a difference for midlife skin changes. With a passion for sustainability, it was essential that the range be free of fossil fuel derived ingredients. Seadragon Organic is a harmonious blend of cosmeceutical grade bio-marine actives with organic formulations.

Following on from selling two cosmetic brands and winning over a dozen product awards I felt it was time to create a skincare range that was salon quality for women my age. Mid-life can be a real challenge, as our skin looses elasticity and wrinkles start to form as we experience drops in our oestrogen levels.

I returned to study to develop my formulating skills in my late 40s and was driven by a desire to blend my creativity with science.

My challenge was to create a skincare range that not only delivered proven and visible improvements, but was also completely free from fossil fuels.

Most skincare contains fossil fuel derived ingredients – called synthetic ingredients.

Undergoing organic certification with Australian Certified Organic was a given, as I wanted to be certain that my skincare range was guaranteed sustainable.

I was disillusioned by the advertising strategies of other brands that intentionally mislead consumers about the green status of their products, so I formulated and created a brand with authenticity at its core.

Honesty

Let's be honest, the beauty industry is fill of misleading information, intended to hide the truth about fossil fuel derived ingredients and products that do not contain enough active ingredients to see results. Seadragon Organic offers proof of sustainability and clinical studies to back beauty claims.

Creativity

Creatively plays a large part of the development of every Seadragon Organic product. The creation of my products requires high levels of creativity whilst harnessing green chemistry principles.

Seadragon Organic is independently third party audited twice yearly by Australian Certified Organic, so you know the products and packaging are held to the highest international standards.

Knowledge

After four years as a product developer I returned to tertiary study to become a qualified cosmetic chemist to ensure I knew the latest advances in organic skincare formulation.

Sustainabiltiy

When you take away all possible ingredients that are either directly derived from fossil fuels or have a fossil fuels component the remaining ingredients list is clean, pure, and sustainable.

I am most proud winning my category in the international competition in 2022 for cosmetic chemistry students Rising Stars Challenge by Spanish company Provital.

I was a finalised in the Product Innovation category in the 2023 AusMumpreneur awards, and won an Honourable Mention in the Sustainable Product category in 2024.

I have been interviewed by Retail Beauty magazine and Professional Beauty magazine and featured on Mummamia’s You Beauty podcast.
